Phantom Spark is a unique sci-fi arcade speed racer focused on time-trials.
It's awesome, please try the demo.
Positives:
- addictive "just one more game"
- replay-ability
- aesthetic and theme
- intuitive and tight controls
- intuitive UI
- easy to pick up and play but hard to master
- interesting mix of personalities of 3 "champions"
- good mix of track variation
Negatives:
- a bit same in overall architecture of level design but it's indie so gets a pass
- vehicles limited customisation and differentiation
- is it just me or does it look a little grainy..?
- ever so slightly pricey for content
- no current plans for DLC(?) that I know of
- not much differentiation in verticality or gravity effects used in course design
Please note the negatives are only minor gripes where as the positives are major boons for this game.
