The dark and twisting landscapes of Shadow Man are probably the most psychologically atmospheric I've ever played. It offers a psychologically disturbing world that is dripping in an aura that demands reverence. I have many things to say about this game. But the most important and impressive take away is that this game dealt with evil bosses that were not big bleak tentacle armed beasts or just straight evil, no. This game gave it's bosses depth sure they were evil but with eclectic, nuanced and twisted personalities. I do not recall any other game doing this even to this day.
